The Prompt Project Challenge

The Prompt is Axelera's build-fast challenge: describe what you want in plain English, and Voyager Wingman turns it into a working pipeline running on your Metis device.

We're picking 10 builders, each receiving a Dell Pro Slim Plus XE5 with a 16GB Metis PCIe card to build on and keep, then one month to go from prompt to finished project.

Compete for €1,000 for the top project, €500 for the runner-up, plus visibility and epic AI bragging rights. Already own Axelera hardware? Enter the open community category and you could win a Mini PC of your own.

The Challenge

Let's see how far a natural language prompt can take you.

Using a Dell XE5 with a 16GB Metis PCIe and Voyager Wingman, you'll turn a prompt into a working edge AI project on Metis, and you'll do it in record time.

Post Your Pitch on the Community

Tell us what you want to build by starting a new thread in The Prompt group over on the community before filling in this form.

Tell us what it will do? Where will it live? Why is it useful? How is Voyager Wingman going to help you build it? And most of all, tell us why you're the right person to build it! Be creative, but be realistic. You'll have to build this if you're selected!

You have until 29th July 2026 to get your application in.

We Select the Top 10 Project Ideas

Projects will be judged on creativity, feasibility, use of Voyager Wingman, skills of the person proposing it, and its impact.

Get Your Al Project Kit

Selected participants receive a Dell XE5 with a Metis PCle card. They you can easily add Wingman to it just minutes after unboxing it!

Build, Share, and Document

During the build phase, share daily and weekly progress updates in the Axelera Al Community. Show us your build process, the prompts you're using with Voyager Wingman, the challenges you're facing, and any cool things you've discovered along the way.

Submit Your Final Project

Wrap it up with a demo video, code repository, all Wingman prompts, pipelines, and a full write-up that will allow others to marvel at the glory of what you've built, and to recreate it themselves.

Submit Your Project for The Prompt

We're looking for bold ideas that you can build in record time using Voyager Wingman's help. Your pitch should be creative, but also realistic! Projects that are simple, clear, and buildable inside 4 weeks are more likely to be selected than ambitious moonshots that may not get finished.

Make sure you've read (and agree to) the terms and conditions, and that you've posted your project idea on the community first.

If you're under 18, no problem. Just let us know. We may need a bit of extra paperwork, but it won't affect your chances.
