Director, System Architecture

Bert Moons has over 10 years of experience in corporate and academic research on AI algorithms, processors and hardware-software co-design. As Director of System Architecture, he oversees the research and definition of Axelera AI’s next generation chip and system architectures.

Prior to Axelera AI, he was a research scientist at Qualcomm AI Research and a hardware architect on Synopsys’s EV7x/CNN computer vision processors. He was a visiting student researcher at Stanford University and received his PhD on AI Acceleration summa cum laude from the University of Leuven in 2018.
