Evgeny Popkov is an accomplished IT and Cybersecurity leader with over 17 years of international experience across multiple industries. As IT & Cybersecurity Director at Axelera AI, he oversees the company's comprehensive IT ecosystem and enterprise-wide security strategy.

Prior to joining Axelera AI, served as Head of Application and Offensive Security at Canon EMEA, where he managed penetration testing, security audits, and secure SDLC automation. He previously led Canon's EMEA Security Operations Center across 28 countries and served as End User Computing Head, supporting 17,000 end-users.

Holds a Master's degree in Computer Engineering from Moscow State Institute of Radio Engineering, Electronics and Automation, and maintains industry-leading certifications including CISSP and CCSP. He combines deep technical knowledge with strategic vision to implement robust security architectures that protect business assets while enabling innovation.
