Taipei, Taiwan – May 19, 2025 – Advantech, a global leader in industrial computing and embedded IoT solutions, and Axelera AI, a leader of advanced AI inference solutions deepen their strategic partnership to bring Axelera’s powerful Metis™ AI Platform directly into Advantech’s global sales and support ecosystem.
Through this collaboration, the Axelera Metis™ AI processing unit (AIPU) modules among PCIe and M.2 formfactors, are now fully verified, integrated, and configurable through Advantech’s ecosystem. The Axelera Metis AI card delivers up to 214 TOPS of inference performance while using just 30% of the power of comparable GPUs. Optimized for edge AI, it features low latency, high-throughput parallel processing, and a compact design for easy integration.
The Metis PCIe card can be seamlessly integrated into Advantech’s edge AI systems and servers, including the AIR-410, AIR-420, and AIR-510—powered by AMD Ryzen™ 8000, Ryzen™ 7000/9000 series and Intel® Core™ 12th–14th Gen processors, it’s ideal for visual AI applications in industrial automation, retail analytics, and surveillance.
Paired with the easy to use Voyager™ SDK to deliver optimized and accurate inference acceleration, developers can now easily deploy computer vision and generative AI directly at the source of their data.
Customers will have access to a range of AI accelerator cards powered by Axelera Metis, seamlessly integrated into Advantech’s trusted hardware platforms in July. These solutions combine Axelera’s high-performance AI inference with Advantech’s system reliability, regional support, and configuration tools—enabling efficient adoption across diverse edge AI applications.
